South Holston have much ice? I gotta go fishing somewhere. Cabin fever is killing me.
i've heard all this bull too. people are saying that he didn't like the fact of players parents, and fans saying just because they didn't win the championship meant they had a bad year. haha sounds pretty funny if you ask me. I think Robbins will go to abingdon just for the simple reason of he's gettin' away from the ruckus and he's opened to just havin to coach and be athletic director instead of teaching. who cares really .. the same thing will probally happen in Abingdon too. goodluck on that one.
An even better question is, who is gonna fill in and put up with powell valley after Robbins? hah
There buddy, he would become athletic director and coach.

Well the years as far as a supplement, don't matter much (or I dont think it does, correct me if I'm wrong). However if the salary is greater (taking house and such out there into equation) and he wouldn't have to teach, to me that would be a tough offer to pass up. I'm not sure but aren't teachers in the VRS? If so, their retirement money is based on the average I think of their last 3 years. If he hung around 3 years and his salary was 20,000 higher or 10,000 higher even, think of how much extra that would be in retirement.
Coaching salaries are not included in VRS calculations. Neither is bus driving. Only teaching salaries.
Ok but if someone is hired just as a coach, no supplement, how does that work?
(Such as how the job or (jobs) are listed above)
ill believe it when i see it, i think phil really likes it here, brads back at wise, all his close family is here,i really cant see him leavin yet, esp. before this upcomin junior class is gone.
The General Assembly has been asked for years to include supplements on the VRS retirements. They have not to date done that, so I would assume there would be no retirement. If I would have been able to include my bus pay with my teaching retirement, I would be sitting pretty high.
Yeah, I say the chances of Phil leaving PV are slim to none.
I'm more interested in seeing what happens with Colobro, he actually has some incentive to look at a TN job. I only wonder who GC would get to replace him?
